Who can dress a ninjamaster?

I have a confession to make. I hate wearing shirts. I have a great deal of difficulty finding shirts that fit me perfectly. The thought of wearing a run-of-the-mill shirt also irks me to no end.

So I usually wear polo t-shirts or regular t-shirts.

However, recently I began teaching a student that changed my mind.

Before I continue, I need to reiterate my commitment to student anonymity. Though there is absolutely no shame in learning how to play the classical guitar, I respect my students’ right to privacy and anonymity. The only reason I’m making an exception here is because the above-mentioned student has mentioned me in his blog.

Now back to the story.

When I started teaching Alfie, the proprietor of the House of Gentlemen, I was quite interested to learn that he made tailored shirts. The thought of making a tailored shirt had never crossed my mind before.

Let me tell you why. Most of my clothing is bought off the shelf. I love instant gratification. Unfortunately, this paradigm does not work for me and shirts.

So I commissioned Alfie to make a shirt for me and I was extremely pleased with the results. It is simply one of the best-fitting shirts I have ever worn in my life. The styling is inspired, the detailing immaculate and the workmanship is absolutely flawless.

But what impressed me the most was the wide variety of options that are available when choosing your fabric. The House of Gentlemen offers an almost endless supply of fabrics. This virtually eliminates the embarrassing situation where you are seen wearing the same shirt as someone else.

Alfie is also very friendly and customer-orientated. I was delighted with the experience I had with the House of Gentlemen. Though his is a small, one-man run business, he deserves nothing but the highest praise. Go to him if you want fashionable, high-quality tailored made shirts.
