Check out my Taiwanese made classical guitar tuning machines

When the tuning machines on my Samick guitar ‘died’, I decided to buy a better set to replace them.

Previously, I bought a really cheap set from Davis. Since this was the second time the tuning machines gave out, it made sense to invest in a better set.

If I continually purchased cheap tuning machines that spoiled easily, the combined cost of the tuning machines would probably be more than that of the guitar.

So I purchased this set from a Taiwanese seller. I think they look awesome.

The tuning machines seem to be made out of stamped nickel. They’re gold plated.

They’re not as nice as the two sets of Gotohs I have on my Asturias or Menkevich, but I think they’re wonderful for a lower-end instrument.

I also like the design of the plates. It’s a nice twist from the common lyra design. When I saw the pictures of the buttons, I thought that they would look really cheap. Fortunately, they look much better in person.
