New services added

Since October 2009, I’ve been testing 3 pilot schemes. I’m happy to announce that I have found all 3 to be feasible and I have decided to add them to my teaching services.

The 3 services are:

  1. Selection and purchase of a new classical guitar
  2. Purchase of accessories
  3. Changing of strings

All three of these services are free-of-charge for my students. There is no additional mark-up for any purchases. You pay exactly what you would pay in the stores. Here’s a description of the services.

1. Selection and purchase of a new classical guitar
No two classical guitars are alike. It can be daunting to purchase a new instrument. By getting me to make the purchase for you, it eliminates a lot of guess work. Not all teachers are willing to invest the time to help their students select a guitar. I am.

I do not mark-up the prices of the guitars. You pay the exact amount and you get to retain the receipt.

2. Purchase of accessories
I tend to visit music stores at least once a week. If you can’t find the time to buy accessories, I can make purchases for you. How convenient! Like purchases of new guitars, I do not mark-up the prices of the accessories.

3. Changing of strings
Classical guitarists change their strings regularly. I change mine every 2 months. It is a simple and routine procedure that no one should pay for. Some music shops charge $15 for this simple procedure. I do it for my students for free.

These are just some of the value-added services my students can enjoy. I’m always looking to give my students even greater value.
