Today I received an extremely thoughtful gift from Yi Hui. Today she gave me a Starbucks tumbler I had been eyeing for a LONG time. It was an incredibly simple gesture that left me deeply touched.
For months I had been eyeing the tumbler. I intended to buy it soon, but Yi Hui beat me to it. I love the concept of this tumbler. It looks like a disposable cup and straw, but both are actually made of thick, high quality plastic.
It also comes with a voucher for a free 12ounce Starbucks beverage of your choosing, a cool touch on Starbucks’ part.
I love this $20 tumbler. But what I love even more is the cutesy card that Yi Hui made to go with my prize. This ‘prize’ was awarded to me for correctly guessing what she ate on Sunday for dinner, after our trip to Chinatown (she ate claypot rice with her family in case you’re wondering).
I thought she was joking when she said she’ll give me a prize if I guessed correctly. I was completely caught off-guard when she gave me this gift today, but I’m glad she did.
I can’t wait to go to the prata shop near my home and ask them to fill it with Kopicino. Ha! Irony is fun.
