Kazuhito Yamashita to perform in Singapore Aug 12

Kazuhito Yamashita will be performing with his children on Aug 12, 7.30pm at the DBS Auditorium. Kazuhito Yamashita is widely regarded as one of the most prominent classical guitarists in Japan and he is arguably one of the world’s great classical guitarists.

I met Kazuhito’s father Toru, and his sister Naoka in Nagasaki many years ago. The Yamashita family is one of the most respected classical guitar families in Japan. They are to Japan what the Romeros are to the Americans.

I will probably be attending and I’m looking forward to a great concert. I’m also really keen to see his children perform. I have little doubt that these young ones will eventually become titans in the Japanese classical guitar scene.

The concert will take approximately 2 hours and tickets can be purchased from Sistec. If you are a classical guitar enthusiast, do not miss this rare opportunity to see the Yamashita clan in action.
