More pictures of my Kris Barnett Guitar!

These are the Premium Gotoh Tuners I requested. I absolutely love them.

Kris Barnett recently sent me more pictures of my upcoming instrument!

I may have been excited before, but now I’m even more excited!

This armrest is removable. It is a first for a classical guitar. The arm rest is held in place with magnets. A truly unique innovation.

Everything looks beautiful. I can wait to try it out. I’ve never own a classical guitar with an arm rest before, let alone with with a removable arm rest. I wonder how it feels when playing.

Seeing but not playing this guitar feels like torture to me.

This is going to be very interesting.

  1. Congrats on your Barnett. I have number 20. Brazillian/Cedar with armrest. I requested it be permanently fixed to the guitar. It is a phenominal guitar. If you want, I can send you some sound samples so you can get an idea of what yours will sound like…..

  3. Hi SS,

I took delivery of my Kris Barnett instrument about 2 weeks ago.

I'm quite impressed by what this young luthier has managed to accomplish with his short tenure making classical guitars.

I will be writing a 'review' of the instrument in about 2-3months time.

It's more of an 'impressions' article than a 'review' though.

I don't really think its fair to 'review' something as subjective as a musical instrument.

  4. Please get in touch with me. I am very interested to get you opinion on Kris’s work. I am looking to have him build a guitar for me, however I first want to speak to some experienced players that are using his guitars.
