9th International Guitar Festival 2011: Dale Kavanagh Concert Cancelled

Yesterday I received a call from Jessie from Tomas Music Consulting. She informed me that due to unforeseen circumstances, Dale Kavanagh will not be attending the 9th International Guitar Festival 2011.

Her concert will be replaced by a combined “Divas Gala Concert” featuring  4 female artists (Kaori Muraji, Elena Casoli, Gaelle Solal, Maria Isabel Siewers ). All the artists will be performing solo works. Jessie informed me that they will not be performing any small group items (duet, trios or quartet).

They will be performing works that are different from their dedicated concerts, so you don’t need to worry about seeing duplicate performances.

Alternatively, those who bought tickets to Dale’s concert can receive refunds from any Sistec outlet. Thos who wish to attend the replacement concert can use the original ticket they purchased for Dale’s concert. There is no need to exchange the tickets. All sitting arrangements will remain the same.

I have not received word on what will happen to Dale’s masterclass. I hope she’s ok and I wish her all the best. I hope to see her perform in Singapore in the future.
